Caitlyn Scaggs, Head of Social Enterprise for New Hope Girls, author, entrepreneur, and frequent Morning Motivations guest on WDBJ7.
After earning her undergraduate degree at Radford University, Caitlyn proudly served the Roanoke County community as a Police Officer. She transitioned out of this role when she began the adventure of motherhood.
The career journey that ensued can only be described as joyful and dynamic! Caitlyn’s experiences include establishing her own marketing agency and ultimately selling it, delivering a TEDx talk, serving as an Associate Vice President and spokesperson at Radford University, and traditionally publishing a women’s empowerment book entitled, Worth It & Wonderful.
In her current role with New Hope Girls, a non-profit based in the Dominican Republic that fights human trafficking, exploitation, and cycles of abuse, Caitlyn works tirelessly to grow support for the organization such that more girls can be rescued and more women can be employed within the organization’s social enterprise. And yes, she does get to travel to the Dominican Republic regularly!
