Wendy Glass is the founder of Ignite Leadership + HR Consulting Group. She’s a seasoned HR Consultant with over two decades of experience and 13 years in executive leadership. Wendy is on a mission to help organizations of all size optimize their greatest asset - their people.

Wendy didn’t find HR - it found her.

It wasn’t that Wendy set out for a long, fruitful, and successful career in human resources. Rather, it was that Wendy’s love for people, empathetic leadership approach, and lived experiences launched her in this direction. As she got deeper into the work of HR her affinity for it grew.

Blending Experience, Education, Data, and Passion

Along the way, Wendy earned her M.A. in Leadership & Management, a B.S. in Management & Organizational Development and she’s a SHRM certified Senior Consulting Professional (SHRM-SCP). She is also a Certified Executive Coach through the Center for Executive Coaching and is an Everything DiSC®, The Five Behaviors®, and Trust at Work® certified practitioner. Those are just the high points of her credentials! She loves blending data-driven approaches with human-centered solutions.

More than Just an HR Expert

Like you, and your employees, Wendy is more than just her role and title. She is a mom, grandmother and wife. She has strong family ties and is known as a fiercely loyal friend. She loves to travel with her husband, John and cherishes time with her children and grandchildren. She has a personal mission to empower and equip others and her work with Ignite is one way that she brings that passion to life. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business, keynote speaker and regular on-camera expert. In all areas of her life Wendy seeks to advocate for others and help them achieve their very best.
